ARIA (Access to Research Infrastructure Administration) was established by Instruct-ERIC to enhance the access proposal process, making it simpler for researchers to submit proposals and access integrated structural biology technologies and services.
The ARIA development team continues to work hard to update and progress the system, whilst adapting it to the ever-changing needs of the global structural biology community, as well as a host of Horizon Europe projects. The latest release, 2.18 and 2.19.0, is no different, with several updates to the system which will benefit researchers, as well as facility administrators and reviewers. If you have any requests for new features or updates, please contact support@instruct-eric.org.
Mailing Lists
Instruct gets in touch with users with the latest news, events, calls, and updates through our CRM mailing system, run in ARIA. Users can select the content of emails that they receive from Instruct. This can be for core services such as internships, training programmes, R&D calls, or Instruct events.
But, users can also elect to receive information on Instruct’s partner projects, whether it’s news and updates from the cutting-edge Fragment-Screen project looking into developing novel technique for fragment based drug discovery, or calls to access Instruct services through canSERV for cancer-related research, among many others.
Select your mailing list settings here to make sure you don’t miss out on funding opportunities.
Email Invites
When establishing a research team in a proposal, users can be included with their email address. They will then receive an email to either log in with their existing ARIA account, or create a new one. This way, proposals do not need to wait for all team members to establish an existing ARIA account in order to progress to the next step of the submission, speeding up the process. See it in action here.
Panel Review
As Instruct now conducts proposal reviews by panel, this has been established in ARIA. Reviewers can now bulk view and score proposals, speeding up the process and creating a clearer and smoother process for users.
Post Submission Follow-Up
Users are required to fill in a number of fields after their proposal has been submitted, critical for reviewers, facilities, and the Instruct-Hub in order to efficiently manage the submission, report units used, and reimburse travel, accommodation, or access costs. ARIA now sends out automated reminders to ensure these steps take place.
Additional Improvements
The ARIA system is always being streamlined and improved to enhance speed, minimise maintenance time, and provide the best service for users and researchers. If you notice any issues with the Instruct website or ARIA dashboard, please contact support@instruct-eric.org and it will be investigated.
