The research infrastructures are grouped by broad domain. These broader domains each collaborate and work together as clusters. The cluster websites, and the websites for collaborative projects of the clusters are linked where given. When a cluster has its own service catalogue we also provide a link from this page.

INFRAFRONTIER Functional genomics INFRAFRONTIER's services comprise of systemic phenotyping of mouse mutants in the participating partner institutes and the archiving and global distribution of mouse mutant lines by the European Mouse Mutant Archive (EMMA) - the third largest mouse model repository in the world. In addition, precision model generation, generation of germ-free mice (axenic service), trans-national open calls and training in a state-of-the-art cryopreservation and phenotyping technologies are also offered to users in the medical research area. European Spallation Source Neutron source The European Spallation Source is under construction on the outskirts of Lund, a city in southern Sweden. European XFEL X-ray free electron laser Using the X-ray flashes of the European XFEL, scientists will be able to map the atomic details of viruses, decipher the molecular composition of cells, take three-dimensional images of the nanoworld, film chemical reactions, and study processes such as those occurring deep inside planets. Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) Optical/near-infrared telescope The ELT is a novel ground-based telescope concept with a performance that is orders of magnitude better than currently existing facilities. Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe (FAIR) Antiproton and ion research Currently the international accelerator facility FAIR is being built. At FAIR, matter that usually only exists in the depth of space will be produced in a lab for research. HL-LHC High luminosity large hadron collider The High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) project aims to crank up the performance of the LHC in order to increase the potential for discoveries after 2027. KM3NeT Neutrino telescope KM3NeT is the future European deep-sea research infrastructure hosting new generation neutrino detectors located at the bottom of the deep seas of the Mediterranean. The ARCA detectors of KM3NeT will form a telescope that scientists will use to search for neutrinos from distant astrophysical sources in our Universe, like supernovae, gamma ray bursters or colliding stars. JIVE Very-long-baseline interferometry (VLBI)

JIVE provides support for proposal preparation, scheduling, and correlation of European VLBI Network (EVN) projects. JIVE staff are also able to support EVN users with data analysis.  Modern workstations, all running the latest versions of AIPS and Difmap, are available in the JIVE visitor's facility. Financial support is available for visits to JIVE and other EVN institutes through a member of the research team associated with eligible projects.

EGO-Virgo Gravitational observation The European Gravitational Observatory, site of the Virgo detector for gravitational waves. Virgo consists mainly in a Michelson laser interferometer made of two orthogonal arms being each 3 km long. European Social Survey Social surveys The European Social Survey provides freely accessible survey data for academics, students, policymakers, civil society and the wider public. Survey data is collected during more than 425,000 interviews is available to view online or download following a short registration. The survey - covering a wide range of topics - has been conducted every two years since 2002/03 in 38 different countries. SHARE ERIC Health, ageing and retirement The Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) is a multidisciplinary and cross-national panel database of micro data on health, socio-economic status and social and family networks of about 140,000 individuals aged 50 or older (around 380,000 interviews).
