Work Package 2: Mapping and enabling new partnerships

European research infrastructures were designed to provide the scientific community with access to instruments, facilities and resources to support high throughput data generation, scientific excellence and innovation.

Their creation and further development has a strong impact on the nature and volume of research conducted in Europe, and on the capacity of the European scientific community to initiate international collaboration. Visibility of the research infrastructures towards the international partners and also to industry partners is therefore crucial to promote their development and sustainability and to ensure the infrastructures are providing services highly relevant to the user community and that they can attract new scientific communities, industry partners or strategic partners in third countries.

The objective of this work package consists of mapping the RIs and services and learn from existing cooperation of the European RIs with third countries partners and with industry partners, to identify gaps in terms of communication and determine opportunities for new cooperation and the conditions to develop such cooperation.
