Data Analysis

Instruct provides funding to access data analysis tools in addition to tools to collect structural biology data, maximising the output of access visits and heightening the impact of structural biology research.

Instruct has 1 centre offering Data Analysis across Europe. Navigate the map and click on the pins to discover centres near you.

Details

In addition to tools to collect structural biology data, Instruct provides funding to access data analysis tools. This ensures Instruct users can get the most out of its technologies, maximising the potential and impact of data collected at Instruct facilities.

Instruct offers a range of data analysis services, which can get the best out of already collected data, but also provide key insights before access visits to more precisely characterise structural targets.

Virtual Screening

Virtual screening, such as that offered at CNB-CSIC, Madrid, enables researchers to transform structural information about biological macromolecules into actionable hypotheses for ligand binding and therapeutic development. This can provide a fully integrated environment for binding pocket identification, ligand docking, and virtual screening, allowing users to start with experimentally determined or modeled 3D structures and rapidly generate ranked lists of potential ligands. Users can submit their structures and (optionally) their own compound libraries or access curated public collections to explore new binding sites, prioritise hits, and guide experimental validation.

AI and Structural Biology

As a structural biology research infrastructure, Instruct-ERIC provides expertise on how to get the best out of AI and structural biology. How to get the most out of prediction tools, when best to use them, and how to validate the predictions to make sure they are accurate and provide enough biological context. Instruct-ERIC provides access to structural biology services across Europe for experimental structural characterisation. Instruct centres are filled with structural biology experts, who can provide their experience and expertise on how best to blend prediction with experimentation. Speak to our experts on AI here.
